After our meetings in Thailand we were blessed (thanks to our families) to be able to make a trip back to the states to visit with our families, fellowship, eat good food and enjoy ALL the wonderful things America has to offer. We were so happy when we got off the plane and saw this sign..."Welcome to New York". We enjoyed every minute of trip! Some people say that after almost 2 years away it is hard to adjust but thankfully we just jumped right in and felt so normal being there. America is an amazing country. Besides seeing our family and friends (which was the BEST part of our trip) we also loved the convienence of things in America, driving on nice roads in nice cars, eating DELICIOUS food, everything being SO clean, fresh air, swimming in the pool, fishing, going to the beach, etc. etc.!
Our first week was spent with Kristin's family in Connecticut. Many of our family members came up for a weekend while we were there and we had a blast together. Here I am with some of the ladies on my Dad's side: back row: my sister-in-law Jamy, my Mom, my Aunt Eva. Front Row: my Aunt Marcia, Aunt Bernadette, Me, my cousin Laura and my grandmother. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with them and the others that came.
One day while we were in Connecticut we got to spend the evening in New York City visiting with one of my closest friends, Lauren and her husband Christopher. It worked out really well because that same day some of our friends were playing at a little restaurant in the city and we got to see them briefly too.

A picture of the city taken right around the corner from Lauren and Christophers apartment. Isn't it beautiful?
