July at the orphanage!

We saw this very cool rainbow completely circling the sun. It was hard to get a picture of because it was so bright but it was beautiful.

One day with our short term team from Hawaii we went to the Snowland Orphanage that we go to regularly and we played with the kids, shared with them, sang songs with them and distributed gifts from the Connections Church in North Carlolina. Connections Church bought each of the 165 children soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, candy and undershirts. They also bought tons of sports equiptment and craft supplies for the school as a whole. All of the kids were so excited and couldn't wait to open their packages. They each waited so patiently to hear their names. All of the children are from underpriviledged families in the mountain villages of Nepal.

A personalized letter like this one was given to each child in their bag. They cherished them. It says their name and "Jesus Loves You So Much".

Afterwards the children all wanted their turn to say thank you. They even colored pictures with their new markers to be sent back to America.
