The moving truck all loaded up with our stuff at our new place and our Tibetan friend and some Nepali workers inside! Oh the joys of South Asia!
{Some of our Tibetan friends helping with the move}
A few weeks ago we moved from our old flat into a new flat about 15 minutes away; Moving in South Asia is very, very different from moving in the states; here the day you want to move you go and find a truck on the steet and pay them about $12 for the day {the truck our friends happened to get for us was a dump truck that still had about 2 inches of dirt in it---wonderful!} and then you also hire some porters to carry your items from your apartment {we live on the third floor} to the truck {each one of those guys gets about $5 per day} and then a bunch of your friends come over and help you load and unload stuff which is of course a huge blessing, but the problem with everything is that they don't handle things carefully so they were just moving so quickly and bringing things down the stairs and laying them on the ground and wanted to put our foam mattresses on top of the dirt in the truck, needless to say it was a little stressful but it all got worked out in the end and NOTHING broke! It all got to the new place in one piece! It was certainly an adventure!

A full truck but wait there is certianly room for more--haha!
