The other night while we were giving Gracie and Keane their evening bath I decided that I wanted to have a picture of both of them in their little tub. Since they can't sit up on their own yet, we give them their baths seperately now but I wanted to get a picture of them together since they are growing so quickly. They love their baths. They get a bath every evening before their last bottle. Since they have begun to play with toys, they like to pick up their little rubber-duckie that we put in the tub with them. Most people don't have traditional bath tubs in Nepal. There is just a shower head that comes out from the wall and is not sepreated at all from the other parts of the bathroom (see photo of our guest bathroom). So, there is no convienent place to give the babies a bath in our bathroom here PLUS the water that comes out of the tap is not filtered and thus NOT DRINKABLE so we use this little tub for now and fill it up with room temperture filtered water and then heat a small pot of filtered water on the stove to make it warm. It is perfect for them. P.S. YES that is a urinal that you see in the photo...most people in Nepal do not have one in their homes and most people don't have a western toilet like we have (theirs are just even with the floor, called squatty potties) anyway, for some reason our landlord decided to put them in his house and every guy who comes to our house thinks it's awesome. I don't get all the urinal hype. |
