We had our first official family beach vacation the first week of July and we had such a fun time together! Ryan and I love the beach. We both grew up going to the beach and my family went on a fun beach vacation at least once a year. This year Ryan, Keane, Gracie and I were able to spend 4 days in Phuket, Thailand. The last week of June we flew to Thailand for our companies annual meeting. We had a great time there reconnecting with friends we only get to see once a year. After it was finished we flew to Phuket and enjoyed 4 days relaxing as a family. Our hotel was wonderful and the beach and pool were great! We are SO thankful for the time.
Thailand's beaches are really nice but the area around the beaches (except the main beaches) is often undeveloped. I thought this sign was funny, "Go to beach". This is the path we walked from our hotel to the beach.

Once we got to the beach it was beautiful!! Gracie loved the beach from the moment she stepped in the sand and the waves but Keane was a little apprehensive about the loud, big waves. At first Keane just wanted to sit in my lap and play in the sand but quickly he got used to it and had a blast playing in the sand and water. Ryan built them a sand dog and made all kinds of pools and castles for them out of sand.

Keane loved the sand once he got used to being near the big waves. He had fun playing with Daddy.
It was such a joy to watch them playing together in the sand. I was afraid that they were just going to sit in the sand and eat it or run all over the beach but they were content playing in one place and they only tasted the sand a few times but realized they didn't like it very quickly!
Keane found some pods from a nearby tree. I think they are from a mango tree and he loved to play with them. I think he thought they were balls.

The hotel where we stayed had a place called 'Kid's World' it was awesome. It was included in the price of the room and had this neat ball pit, dress-up area, games and toys. Keane and Gracie loved it.

Many of the Thai people stopped as they walked along the beach to look at Keane and Gracie. Everyone thought they were so cute.
