The office is off of this road. Thankfully, it is not a busy road at all.
This is the alley that the doctor's office is on. It is on the right side under the blue awning. I am so thankful some friends told us about this place because I am sure we never would have found it any other way!

The vaccine room (I couldn't get any pictures of Keane and Gracie while they were having their shots but thankfully they did really well. I gave them some Tylenol about 20 minutes before and they cried while they were being pricked but stopped very shortly after that. Also, the nurses gave them balls and a toy when they were finished so that helped!)

The toilet at the doctors office. It is a "squatty potty". This is the type of toilet that they have here. Thankfully in our house we have a "normal" toilet but most places you go have these toilets. Believe it or not this is SUCH a nice bathroom compared to many, many other ones that are here in Nepal (mainly because it is clean!).

Many people ask us about the quality of medical care that there is here in Nepal. Unfortunately, for the most part, the care here is not good at all. Some of the doctors here are trained in America and the UK and are very well educated but they often don't have the equipment that they need to do the certain procedure, etc. Also, most of the hospitals here are VERY dirty and are very poor so they are unable to provide the care that we can get in America and some other places around the world. We are really, really blessed to have found (because of other people's suggestion) a great pediatrician here for well-baby visits. The pediatrician at this office was trained in Nepal and abroad and she speaks great English (which REALLY helps when you are trying to explain things about your children to her). Her office is really professional and she and the nurses there are so sweet to Keane and Gracie. Her office definitely resembles a pediatricians office in the states (but it certainly has some Nepal touches as you can see from the photos. Last week we took Keane and Gracie for some vaccines and I wanted to take some photos to share of our experience.
